The Occupational Health & Safety Act requires all Joint Health and Safety members to be trained within 1 year of joining the committee. Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSCs) are critical to workplace health and safety. This course explains how to develop and maintain an effective committee, as per New Brunswick's legislative requirements, and to learn the role of the committee in a safety program. The program also covers best practices for committee meetings to maximize the function and scope of the committee. The (1) day blended Joint Health & Safety Committee course is delivered by lecture style and group participation to apply the concepts from the e-courses.
